AFRICE HONORARY PRESIDENT PRIZE
The sense of this AFRICE institution is that to encourage the young students (read: not yet recruited structurally in any academic Institution) to lead their own research in the field of Comparative Education. At the same time, the AFRICE H.P. Prize is intended to secure the participation of AFRICE to the WCCES Executive Committee’s meetings held in correspondence/conjunction with the World Congresses – each three years.
What does it consist in? The AFRICE H.P. Prize consists in a substantial/concrete support (read: the flight ticket) to reach the venue of the World Congress. The participation to the World Congress of Comparative Education has to be morally sustained by the AFRICE leadership in place (read: the Executive Committee and the President). Such a moral sustain is formed by the official mandate to represent AFRICE at the WCCES Executive Committee’s meetings operated in conjunction with the World Congress in progress in case nobody of the AFRICE Executive Committee is in a position to take part to those WCCES EC’s meetings.
The selection of the AFRICE H.P. Prize winner will be operated six months before the date of the World Congress of Comparative Education. The competing papers should be sent electronically to the formed AFRICE national chapters before the end of September 2012; those AFRICE national chapters Executive Committees will serve as standard academic juries and will submit their selected paper before the end of October 2012. The AFRICE Honorary President will select the winning paper six month before the World Congress and will congratulate the winner in December 2012, so that the author will be in a position to arrange the items to participate to the next World Congress of Comparative Education: Buenos Aires, Argentine, June 2013.
